What is ShortCut? ShortCut was the very first application for EPOC palmtops that replicated the Windows 95/98/NT file shortcuts.
What can it do for you? EPOC Palmtops like the Psion Series 5 and Geofox One can become quickly cluttered with applications and documents, scattered across several folders and up to two drives. More and more often you want fast access to your favourite documents, but you might not want to group them into a separate folder, or you might want access to one or more particular documents from EVERY folder. ShortCut is the answer. Using the system screens new file command, you can create a new shortcut file. An easy to use wizard appears and guides you through the 2 step process to create your new shortcut. Once, complete, and Icon like this appears in the folder and a double click launches the application, document or web site! You can use shortcut to organise favourites folders, make sure a favourite file is always accessible wherever you are, or as a quick way to get to system folders. In conjunction with ExtraBars ShortCut allows you to create a folder of shortcuts to favourite files, and place this as a folder alias within ExtraBars. A useful way to create groups of shortcuts in ExtraBars! And best of all it's free! So how do you get it and how much is it? Now for the good news, ShortCut is freeware so no registration is required. Shortcut is available from the EPOC+Plus download page.
